Volvo Trucks has just reached the milestone of 5,000 electric trucks sold, surpassing the Tesla Semi, which still faces difficulties in reaching mass production.

Since the launch of its first model in 2019, Volvo has made a mark in the electric truck segment, offering a wide range of eight different models. In contrast, Tesla has produced about 140 Semi units since 2022, and production is expected to gain momentum only when the Nevada factory is fully operational next year.

Volvo has already secured customers in more than 50 countries, with the main markets being Germany, the Netherlands, the United States, Norway, and Sweden. The company has been the leader in the heavy-duty electric truck market in Europe for five consecutive years, with a market share of 47%. In the United States and Canada, its market share in the segment is also over 40%.

The company remains focused on providing sustainable and efficient transportation solutions, with many customers returning to expand their electric fleets.

In addition to being a leader in the electric truck market, Volvo Trucks, a division of the Volvo Group, offers various models to meet different transportation needs. The company also owns Mack Trucks, which recently launched an electric tractor. Soon, the long-distance FH Electric truck will be launched with a range of up to 600 km, featuring improvements in the electric axle compared to the previous model.
